Inventory Control Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Control Technician to join our team.

 

Position Summary:

As an Inventory Control Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring inventory levels to ensure that the company's production process runs smoothly. And you will be responsible for conducting regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies using a computerized inventory management system.

  • Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify and reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.

  • Coordinating with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure timely receipt and proper storage of inventory items.

  • Analyzing inventory data and generating reports to identify trends and potential issues such as overstocking, stockouts, or slow-moving inventory.

  • Working with production teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies to meet production schedules.

  • Developing and implementing inventory control policies and procedures to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of inventory-related projects such as warehouse layout optimization, inventory process improvement, and system upgrades.

  • Providing training and support to other team members on inventory management best practices and procedures.

  • Collaborating with other departments such as logistics, quality control, and accounting to ensure seamless inventory management processes across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

​

Salary: From $40.00 per hour

​

Schedule:

  • 6 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

​
